Finally, I've tried the infamous Molly's!
I was reminded of this place by a follower of my Facebook page and thought, "It is time."
What a success!
I thought it was a barbecue place, but it was more of a homestyle, down-home, comfort-food type.
Plan ahead when planning to visit Molly's.
They are only open for lunch Mon.-Fri. and they get really, really busy.
This visit was kinda hectic and rushed for me. It was pouring outside, it was busy inside, and my kids were extra busy/loud/non-hungry. In the midst of trying to keep my kids clean, hushed, and behaved, taking pictures, and trying to taste everything & eat really fast, all I wanted to do was sit there and savor every bite. Thank you to my Aunt and my mom who were my extra four arms & eyes.
Tomato Basil Pie - Spinach Salad - Cheddar Biscuit
The Tomato Basil Pie alone will summons my return to Molly's.
If you want it, get there early before they run out.
French Chicken - Cheddar Biscuit - Coleslaw - Dutch Oven Spuds (these were ok, opt for mashed)
Have I mentioned before that I'm not a huge fan of chicken unless it's awesome?
The French Chicken was awesome.
Beef Brisket Sandwich - Coleslaw
BBQ Salad w/ Pulled Pork and Tomato Ranch
This salad--like the Cafe Rio type--was so good, and lighter than the Cafe Rio one of which I'm totally burned out.
Choc. Cream Cheese Cake - Raspberry Bread Pudding - Carrot Cake
These desserts--it's like trying to pick a favorite out of three favorites.

I've really wanted to try their tomato basil pie, but they are always so busy when I go there too!
ReplyDeleteThe Tomato Basil Pie really looks like my kind of thing. How have I missed these guys?
ReplyDeleteI'm so pleased that you went there and reviewed it - and that you loved it! Such a fun place. I try to find excuses to go to Provo and meet my sister or grandma there for lunch.
